A wishlist that works before the customer has an account, and a gift registry that stops two people buying the same present.

Guests first

Most wishlist implementations ask for an account before they will save anything, which is the wrong order: the customer has to commit before they get any value. Here a guest can start a list immediately, held in a persistent cookie on their device. When they do log in or register, the guest list is merged into their account automatically, nothing is lost, and the account suddenly has a reason to exist.

What it does

• One click adding over AJAX, with full support for products that have variations, so a specific size and colour is saved rather than a generic product
• Multiple named lists - Birthday Gifts, Next Season, Things I Keep Meaning To Buy - each renameable and deletable
• Shareable and collaborative registries with a public link, so a wedding or a baby list can be sent round
• Purchased tracking - items bought from a shared list are marked automatically, so nobody buys the same gift twice, and the buyer is not revealed to the list owner
• Price drop email alerts, driven by cron, telling a customer when something they saved has come down in price. This is the feature that turns a wishlist from a nicety into a sales channel
• Admin insight into what customers are saving, which is a genuine demand signal for buying decisions
