Category Product Options

The problem it solves

A customer scanning a category page sees twelve products and an Add to Basket button on each. On any product that has a required option, that button cannot work, because the size or the colour has not been chosen yet. Stock CubeCart deals with this by sending the customer to the product page. For a shop selling variations of similar things, that is an extra click on every single line, and every extra click costs orders.

This plugin renders each product's selectable options in the category listing and lets the product be added to the basket correctly from there, with the chosen option attached.

Installing it

No core CubeCart files are touched. Three small additions are needed to content.category.php in your skin, and the plugin's User Guide tab gives you the exact find-and-add for each one, with line numbers for the stock Foundation template. On a Havenswift Hosting skin the changes are already in place.
