Why it exists

Every shop needs to say something occasionally. Last posting dates before Christmas. We are closed for stocktaking on the 3rd. Free delivery over fifty pounds this week. Without a plugin those messages get hard coded into a skin template, which means a developer to put them up, a developer to take them down, and a real chance of one being left in place until March.

What you control

• Display position: top of the page, middle as an overlay, or bottom
• Display style: static, a label, or a peel effect in the top right corner
• Display mode: on all pages or on selected pages only
• Each message can be enabled and disabled independently, so seasonal messages can be prepared in advance and simply switched on

Messages are written and managed in their own admin list, so you can keep a set of standard notices ready to go rather than rewriting them every year.
